i am glad that you are interested in our program. based on the french unique
educational system, engineers' program will offer you a experience very diff
erent from those of china and united states. the students in "grande ecole" are
tomorrow's elites of france, so the admission is also very competitive. thou
gh in the brochure, it is translated as "YAN JIU SHENG YUAN", most of the students
 at "grande ecole" do not do any research work. they have lots of courses, parti
cipate in real projects, do interships, etc... they will work for famous european a
nd international enterprises and organisations in all domains. (the scholarship
 you might get have no relation with "research work".) in one word, engineer's pr
ogram and MS/PhD program are not two comparable things.

don't worry about your oral english. i don't know who will interview you. if
 he is Mr. Yin, he might talk to you in chinese. if he is Mr. Bonnet, you will spea
k english. english is only a mean of communication. you can speak slowly and c
learly.just let him understand what you want to say. english is not his only care b
ecause all the courses are in french. what he cares is your motivations. for exampl
e, why you choose france instead of other countries, will you take the pain to lear
n french, what is your professional career, etc... the answer is evident: you 
want to have a high position in an entreprise and the french engineer's program fits
 your career plan. (if you can speak a little french words, Mr. Bonnet might be ve
ry happy. :-)
usually you have the possibility to change your major. at ENPC, the students
 choose from five options: 1, civil engineering and construction, 2, industrial
engineering, 3, mechanical and material engineering, 4, mathematical and
informatique engineering, 5, economy management, finance and social science,
 6, city, environment and territory. though civil engineering program is very go
od, not many french students choose it.
