国家纳米科学中心是具有独立法人地位的国家级纳米科学公共技术平台和研究基地，于2003年3月正式成立，将成为拥有先进设施的、开放式的国家研究机构。国家纳米科学研究中心将联合科研机构与高等院校等多方面研究力量，以中国科学院纳米科技中心、北京大学、清华大学等为最初
的组成单位。

    国家纳米科学中心将主要从事四个方面研究：纳米加工与纳米器件、纳米材料与纳米结构、纳米医学与纳米生物技术、纳米结构的表征方法与检测，并且建立相应的四个主要研究室。


中心从现在开始向海内外公开招聘纳米科学技术领域学术带头人、研究人员和资深技术人员。学术带头人应当在以上四个领域中做出具有国际影响的研究工作，能够领导相应的研究室从事国际前沿研究。研究人员应当在纳米科技领域做出突出成果，具有独立从事前沿研究的能力；资深技术
人员应当具有从事纳米科技有关大型仪器的操作、管理经验。

PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS,RESEARCH SCIENTISTS, SERVICE ENGINEERS

  The National Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology of China (NCNNC) is a newly established non-profit legal research entity and a state-run technological platform and research center for nanoscience and technology equipped with advanced
facilities in nano-fabrication and characterization. Located in the Zhongguancun Science Park, Beijing, it was first established jointly by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University and will be open to the scientific
community of China.

    NCNNC adopts the director responsibility system under the leadership of the governing board, which is responsible for determining discipline orientations and key research areas for the Center. The research direction will focus on four main
disciplines of nanotechnology: nano-devices and nano-fabrication; nano-structures and nano-materials; nano-biotechnology and nano-medicine; characterization and measurement of nano-structures. The orientation of NCNNC will be the basic and applied
researches of nanoscience, with its significant application prospects.

    NCNNC is seeking applications from individuals with expertise in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The positions are on three different levels: (1) principal investigators, (2) research scientists, (3) service engineers. The successful candidate will
be expected to have a strong background in nanoscience and nanotechnology of above mentioned four research disciplines from physics, chemistry, biology, electronics, MEMS areas.

    Requirement for the above positions are: (1) principal investigators: candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree and have postdoctoral experience, we expect to fill position equivalent to the Professor level, the successful candidate will be offered a
heading position in one of the four labs and start-up package; (2) research scientists: candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree and will be expected to perform an outstanding research program, (3) service engineers: three years of working experience in
nanotechnology related equipment, i.e. TEM, MEMS, SPM, CVD, etc. Qualified applicants at other levels are invited to apply.
