Dear Professor Xu,
I am desperate because I was rejected visa this morning by American
Embassy.
I am applying for F-1 visa for my MBA study in a State University
which require $21,000 per year. I prepared enough financial
certificate and all necessary materials. My dress and manner was quite
formal. I read your book about the philosophy for American visa
application and prepared fully for many possible conditions could
happen.
However I was still defeated by the visa official who insist that I have
the immigration tendency. Although I prepare a cover letter by the
Writing Center of Oriental School, she just did not see it nor let me
explain my situation fully and kept finding fault with me. Although I
successfully answered all her questions, she still refused me.
I do not know what to do next. Hope you can help me. From your book, I
know that you are a warm-hearted honorable man who can give a hand to
a desperate girl.
Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.
Thank you very much.
sincerely
Dear Desperated Mu:
Thank you for your letter.
Don't worry about your visa failure. There are thousands of our
friends got their visas after one or two or three or even more
rejections! If one refusal by a visa officer make you so unhappy, then
my suggestion to you is that you are not going to the US because in that
damn country the competition and struggle for success are much more
fierce and difficult than they are in China!
What to do next? Come to Xin Dong Fang and see me and get your visa!
Please watch our web page and choose a date for my advice session in New
Oriental Building every Tuesday\Thursday and Saturday morning. It
will be OK!
Love,
Teacher Xu
