Dear Juejun,

On behalf of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the 
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign I am writing to notify you of your 
acceptance to our PhD. program for the Fall 2004 semester. An official offer 
letter will be mailed to 
you soon, however we wanted to get this information to you as quickly as 
possible.  Our offer of a Research Assistantship will include a stipend of 
$17,500 plus a full tuition waiver and a partial service fee waiver valued at 
approximately $18,500 
(annually).  The total standard RA offer is approximately $36,000 for the 
2004-05 academic year.  We are very pleased to make this offer to you and we 
hope that you will choose to join our department in the Fall.
