DIGITAL Fortran is now Compaq Fortran

To our loyal DIGITAL Fortran customers:

The products in the DIGITAL Fortran portfolio will be undergoing a name
change this year to conform with Compaq branding practices. The name change
should have no end-user impact. As we release new versions of Fortran on our
various platforms over the year, the product names will change from DIGITAL
Fortran to Compaq Fortran. In the case of our Win32 product, DIGITAL Visual
Fortran, the new name will be Compaq Visual Fortran.

Beneath the name changes and the new look coming to our web pages, packaging
and documentation, it is the same Fortran you have come to know and love,
developed and supported by the same team of experienced and dedicated
engineers.

The language and language extensions are unchanged, (!DEC$ doesn't become
!CPQ$), as are command line verbs and options, so there will be no need to
change application source code nor build scripts. Our goal is make this
transition as painless as possible for our users.

Our web site and e-mail addresses will also be changing from digital.com to
new compaq.com addresses.  You may start using the new addresses now:
