Conviction is a good mainspring, but a bad regulator.


It is still the best to concern oneself with eternals, for from them
alone flows the spirit that can restore peace and serenity to the
world of humans.


In nature, the overall principles represent a higher reality than 
does the single object.


There has been an earth for a little more than a billion years. As
for the end of it I advise: Wait and see!


We never cease to stand like curious children before the great 
mystery into which we are born.


Man grows cold faster than the planet he inhabits.


Small is the number of them that see with their own eyes and feel
with their own hearts.


I want to know God's thoughts...all the rest are details.


No problem can be solved from the same consciousness that created
it.


The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It 
is the source of all true art and science.


The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the
fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and 
true science. He who knows it not and can no longer wonder, no
longer feel amazement, is as good as dead, a snuffed-out candle.


Imagination is more important than knowledte. Knowledge is limited.
Imagination encircles the world.
