［甩掉］palm off
他让你赶紧把手中的次品都甩掉。

汉语中的“甩掉”有很多用法，其英语表示法也各不相同。先请看下述例句：

“得罪某人”的说法一般可用offend someone 的片语来表示。但是在口语中，还是用 
get in Dutch with…的句型更合适。例如：很少有人敢得罪他。There are few peopl

“说别人的闲话”可以用gossip about的片语来表示。但是作口语，英美人更喜欢用di
sh the dirt abort.此语中的dish是动词，意思是“把做好的菜盛到盘子里”；the di
rt的意思是“泥土”，合在一起的字面意思是“把泥土盛到盘子里”，意指“说玷污他
人的话”。
