个人基本信息：
1. My name is xxx. Twenty-three years old, and an only-child.
2. They work in hospital. My father is a doctor, and my mother a nurse.
专业及学术：
1. Undergraduate? I study electrical engineering in Tsinghua University.
2. At the beginning of next month (early July) in Tsinghua university.
3. Electrical Engineering. To be more specifically, microelectronics. It's m
ainly concerned about electrical devices and IC design. Civil applications.
4. It's the science & technology to design and produce microelectronic devic
es/ integrated circuits. IC is used in almost every electronic equipment fro
m computer to IC card.
5. No difference. They are the same.
6. It is both academically sophisticated and widely used. My strong physics
background assures my excellence in this area. And EE is now a promising & p
rofitable area calling for real talents. Great influences on the world today
 and even change people's mind and rewrite many concepts.
7. EE, as in China.
8. Yes. Princeton offers me an academic fellowship, which is a full financia
l aid covering both tuition fee and living expenses.

赴美动机：
1. To pursue Ph.D. degree in EE major in Princeton. 5~6 years.
2. Early August.
3. I need F-1 visa to enter USA to study for Ph.D. degree.
4. To my major, EE, US leads in a quite advanced scientific research. To me,
 study abroad for a period of time helps me to be more open-minded, which is
 important for research work. And I will have a more promising future after
I return back from US.

6. A Ph.D. degree is important for my goal to be a faculty later in the Inst
itute of Microelectronics of Tsinghua U. I am in the golden time of my life
to pursue Ph.D.

8. My plan is to take a research position back in Tsinghua (Institute of Mic
roelectronics of Tsinghua U or Chinese Academy of Science). My ideal. To wor

amous in China, such as Princeton in US; it will be my great advantage.
9. First, I am sure that it is much easier for a person like me to get a goo
d academic position in China. Tsinghua is famous in China, such as Princeton
 in US. This is my advantage. Second, I would like to contribute what I have
 learned to my country. It is a simple but deep feeling. I think such a feel
ing is in the heart of people all over the world. After all, America is not
my country, but China is. Third, I want to come back to look after my parent
s.
10. As far as I know, these years more and more students have chosen to come
 back when they graduate in America. In fact, I know many professors in Tsin
ghua University who came back from America. As to me, I am sure I will come
back because I can get a good academic position in China----IMETU.
11. This won't be a problem. Making money, well, is not my ultimate goal. I'
m very concerned about winning a high academic position & high academic acco
mplishment. Besides, nowadays, professors in China lead a more and more dece
nt life. That is also the reason I choose Princeton, not U near Silicon Vall
ey.
12. As written in I-20 form, about $40,000, including tuition fee.
13. Financial aid from Princeton University.
14. If I receive a Ph.D. degree from Princeton, I can find a teaching or res
earch position in IMETU or Chinese Academy of Science. Besides, I am an outs
tanding student in Tsinghua, I believe I can realize my dream.
15. As far as I know, if I retain a good academic recording, Princeton will
certainly renew my fellowship. And I am an excellent student in Tsinghua Uni
versity, so I don't think I'll encounter any problem in getting a good acade
mic record.
