那时我还在签证大厅里焦急的等待，一柱香以后，当我前面的两队人分别被领到6号窗口
（巴基斯坦）和7号窗口（black sister）时，我已经知道：我过了


VO:(bigboy, look at me)
me:(smile) Nice to see you sir, here is my card
VO:(smile) Nice - to - see - you - too.
me:documents?
VO:No, you will go to Northwestern Univ?
me:Yes, I will study for my Ph.D degree in transportation engineering there.
VO:So why go to US?
me:Because the United States is the most advanced in transportation engineer
   ing, and Northwestern has a more than 40 years history of transportation
   research... besides, my future advisor is a very big guy in his field.
VO:Why do you want the degree? Tell me only what you want to do.
me:Because I want to find a teaching and research position in Tsinghua Univ.
VO:That's a good reason. Give me your GRE and Toefl score.
me:er... here it is.
VO:Wow, and your transcipt, tear it
me:(tear my transcript)
VO:How many universities have you applied?
me:er...eleven.
VO:How many accepted you?
me:seven, and four of them gave me financial support.
VO:(scan my transcript carefully) What's your GPA
me:3.8 for major courses, and, 3.7 for overall courses.
VO:What you will do after graduation?
me:I will find a teaching and research position in Tsinghua, you know... 
   (interrupted)
VO:OK, OK, listen, (wave his hand) I have heard everyone say that he will
   come back to teach and reseach.
me:(faint) I like research work, but in case I failed to enter Tsinghua Univ
    , I will start from a less famous univ like 北方交通 universtiy, or I can
   do some technical work in a government agency like, say Beijing Bureau of
   Transportation or the Ministry of Transportatin of China. (其实应该是 the
   Ministry of Communication, 怕他听不懂)
VO:Ok, (give me the pink sheet) go to window 10
me:Thank you, I'm still a litter nervous.

快离开大厅的时候，忽然传来一阵广播:
"请XXX和XXX改到6号窗口(巴基斯坦)处签证"...
