(下班后外面大雨倾盆,周遇见避雨的苏)

周慕云:刚下班?
Back from work?
苏丽珍:是啊.
Yes.
周慕云:这雨下的好大.
Strange weather!
苏丽珍:恩..
Isn’t it?
周慕云:你在这很久了?
Been here long?
苏丽珍:站了一会.
Just a while.
周慕云:我看还得下一会...你等我一会.(奔去取伞)...我送你回去吧?
I don’t think it’ll stop soon. Wait for me. I’ll see you home.
苏丽珍:不好了,让人家看见,又话多了.
We’d better not be seen together.
周慕云(把伞给苏):那你先回去吧.
Then you go first.
苏丽珍:他们见过你的伞,我打着回去,他们会认出来的.
If they see your umbrella, they’ll know I was with you.
周慕云:说的对,我怎么没想到.
I wasn’t thinking.

苏丽珍:你先回去吧,我呆一会走.

周慕云:那我陪你.
I’ll keep you company.
苏丽珍:...你找过我?

周慕云:还以为你同事忘了告诉你...本来想找你买张船票的.

周慕云:阿炳寄了很多信过来,说他那边缺人手,要我过去帮他.

候回来...最好是别回来...我知道我这么想不对...你能不能帮我个忙?

周慕云:我想有个心理准备.

(雨后)

苏丽珍:你可不可以以后不要再找我了?
You’d better not see me again.
周慕云:你先生回来了?
Is your husband back?
苏丽珍:是...我是不是很没用?
Yes… Am I hopeless?
周慕云:也不是......那我以后不找你了...好好守着你先生.
Not really. I won’t see you again. Keep a closer eye on your husband.


周慕云:别这样...别傻了,说说而已...不要哭了...这又不是真的...

周慕云:是不是有人进了我房间?
Has anyone been in my room?
房东:没有啊
No.
周慕云:没有?我丢了东西了.
Something’s missing.
房东:丢了什么啊?
What?


(周与阿炳在餐馆吃饭)

周慕云:我问你,从前有一些人,如果心里有了秘密,但又不想让别人知道,你知不知
道他们会怎么做?
In the old days, if someone had a secret they didn’t want to share… 
You know what they did?
阿炳:我怎么知道?
Have no idea.
周慕云:他们会跑到山上,找一棵树,在树上挖一个洞,然后把秘密全说进去,再用泥
巴把洞封上,
They went up a mountain, found a tree… Carved a hole in it… And 
whispered the secret into the hole. Then they covered it with mud.
那秘密就会永远留在那棵树里,没有人会知道.
And leave the secret there forever.
阿炳:那么辛苦?找一个女人发泄不是更好?
What a pain! I’d just go to get laid.
周慕云:谁都象你一样?
Not everyone’s like you!
阿炳:说的是啊,象我这种人,是个直肠子,哪有心事啊?你就不同,什么事都往心里搁

I’m just an average guy, I don’t have secrets like you. You bottle 
things up! Tell me something!
周慕云:我哪有心事?
I don’t have secrets.
阿炳:别骗我了...一场朋友...我不会跟别人说的.
