someone is amiable 指某人和蔼可亲，易于相处。也可把某人的行为或谈话描述为ami
able。
He was an amiable, amusing fellow.
他是一个和善，有趣的人。
He raised a finger in amiable warning.
他竖起指头，发出善意的警告。

amicable用于说明友善、和睦合作、不争吵不打架的行为和感觉。
Kathy and Vim had their amicable divorce.
凯西和维姆和气地离了婚。
... after a week of amicable talks.
……在一周友善的交谈后。

someone is amiable 与 someone behaves amiably 同义。
The customs man smiles amiably.
海关官员亲切地微笑。

可以把争端描述为amiacable，也可以说it is settled or conducted amicably, 两者
同义，意为争端得到友好解决。
The vast majority of disputes are settled amicably.
绝大多数争端都得到了友好解决。
